Grief is not linear. There is no wrong way to be grieving.
There is no stage you are supposed to have reached by now.
Maybe this is you
The world has carried on as if it should not have
People have stopped asking, and you have learned to say you are fine
It does not look like the grief you expected
More numbness, or irritation, or a flatness you cannot lift, than tears
Loss takes many forms, and all of them belong here.
What you may be after
Loss takes many forms
A bereavement
The end of a significant relationship
A miscarriage
The loss of health, a home, a role or an identity
A loss that is hard to name, but just as real
What happens
Reach out, when you are ready. A WhatsApp is enough.
A place to speak it, and have it held, at your pace.
No schedule. The work is not about reaching a particular stage or resolving grief on a timetable.
Sessions are one to one, in person in Table View or online.
The grief support group
I also run a small, facilitated grief support group, with a maximum of four people, so each person has real space and continuity. Members join at the start of a cycle, after a short conversation with me to check it is the right fit.
Please WhatsApp to enquire about current availability.
