About me
I am a registered counsellor in private practice at Blouberg Therapy Centre in Table View. I have worked in the mental health field for 15 years, starting as a volunteer trauma counsellor with the Community Intervention Centre. I have been in private practice for 6 years.
My work spans individual, couples and family counselling, with particular experience supporting people through grief and loss, life transitions, relationship difficulties, harmful relationships, and the specific experiences of LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent adults.
My approach is direct without being prescriptive, and warm without being vague. A session is a conversation, not a consultation. I do not work from a script, and the direction of the work is led by what matters to the person in front of me.
I am a Polyvagal-informed practitioner, which simply means I pay attention to the nervous system as part of the work: to safety, to settling, and to what the body is saying alongside the words.
I work with clients from many cultures and backgrounds, including people whose first language is not English. Your beliefs, culture, identity and lived experience are understood as part of the context of your life. They will not be dismissed, and you will not be reduced to a category.

Qualifications and registration
I am registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Registered Counsellor under the Professional Board for Psychology.

Sessions are at Blouberg Therapy Centre, 103 Blaauwberg Road, Table View, Cape Town 7441. It is a dedicated therapy space, not a shared medical building, and parking is available.
Online
Online sessions are available from anywhere. A private, secure video link is sent before each session. Online clients include people across South Africa and abroad.
